The fertilizers were officially received by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Paul Osae Offei, together with officials of the Municipal Department of Agriculture, reaffirming the Assembly's commitment to strengthening the agricultural sector and improving food security.

The intervention forms part of the Government's broader efforts to transform agriculture through the Feed Ghana Programme, which seeks to increase local food production, create sustainable employment opportunities, reduce the country's dependence on food imports, and drive economic growth.

Speaking during the handover, Hon. Paul Osae Offei reiterated the Assembly's commitment to working closely with the Municipal Department of Agriculture to ensure the timely and equitable distribution of the fertilisers to farmers across the municipality. He noted that making the inputs available to farmers at the right time would help improve crop yields, increase agricultural productivity, and contribute to the municipality's food security objectives.

Officials from the Department of Agriculture welcomed the arrival of the fertilizers, describing the initiative as a timely intervention that will support farmers during the farming season and improve agricultural output.

The Akuapim South Municipal Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to implementing government policies and programmes that empower farmers, promote sustainable agriculture, and improve livelihoods through increased food production.
