Mr. Bukari Zakari Anaba, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Tano-South, has appealed to people living in the area to support the street-naming project.

He said the exercise which is a government policy, was aimed at ensuring easy identification and accessibility to utility, security and emergency service providers, to create an orderly society.

Mr. Anaba was briefing newsmen on issue pertaining to his district, at Bechem .

He said the team to undertake the project in the district had already been inaugurated, and called on households to endeavour to provide them with accurate information on all properties and related issues, to ensure a successful exercise.

On education, the D.C.E expressed great concern about the falling standards in the district, and disclosed that the District Education Oversight Committee of the Assembly, had set up a five-member committee to investigate the situation, for the necessary remedy.

The DCE used the opportunity to urge people in the district and Ghanaians in general, to be patriotic and build on the hard work and determination of our fore- fathers which has brought us this far.

We must as a people remain steadfast and endeavour to create a free and just society for our citizens. We must nurture Ghana that is better and prosperous through our individual and collective sacrifices, that we can pass on to future generations, he advised.

Mr. Anaba also prayed Ghanaians to rally solidly behind President John Dramani Mahama in his quest to move Ghana into the middle income status of the global economy.

He said though the transition period may be difficult, with genuine belief and support for the President, Ghana will be the ultimate winner.
