The Tano South District Assembly is considering the adoption of public-private-partnership (PPP) initiative to further develop the area, the DCE Mr Bukari Zakaria Anaba has said.

Telling Ghanadistricts.com of their intentions in an interview, Mr. Anaba said since the Assembly seeks to fast track the development agenda of the country,  there was however the need to bring more development partners on board to help them in the various sectors including education, sanitation, transportation among others.

Mr. Anaba singled out the building of a mini sports stadium at the District Capital, Bechem as one of the projects in which the Assembly seeks to embrace the PPP initiative.

“We are fortunate to have been qualified for a priemership that is the Bechem United and the Assembly is solely putting up a mini stadium project, but we cannot do it alone hence the need to bring more hands onboard,” Mr. Anaba added.

He believes the stadium when completed would improve sporting activities in the Area and also generate more revenue for the Assembly to invest in other developmental projects.

In another development, Mr. Anaba said the TSDA has also established a light industrial area which is aimed at creating a one stop shop for all industrial services at Bechem.

He said the Assembly has also provided the industrial area with a Rural Enterprise facility to provide engineering services at affordable rates whiles training interested persons to operate the facility.
