The Chereponi district has acquired a new National Health Insurance Scheme(NHIS) office through the intervention of the District Assembly to serve as a satellite office for the whole district.

The efforts by the assembly to provide the facility comes on the heels of the growing concerns for the need of the establishment of an NHIS office at Chereponi which will essentially support promote the scheme in the areas of the district.

District Chief Executive for the area, Alhaji Mohammed Seidu Issah Abbah during a recent meeting held by the assembly announced that finally the facility has been accomplished at a cost of GHS 78,000.

The office facility duly completed and in use was funded with the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF).
Alhaji Seidu Abbah therefore anticipated that getting an NHIS office in the district would pave way to capture and incorporate more individuals onto the scheme.
