A good number of school furniture have been distributed to school children in various basic schools across-board in the Chereponi district to facilitate teaching and learning activities.

Under this move, over 2,000 dual desks were supplied by the assembly lately to give momentum in increasing the standard of education specifically in the deprived areas of the district.

District Chief Executive, for the Assembly, Alhaji Mohammed Seidu Issah Abbah made this known when delivering an address during an assembly meeting in the area.

He anticipated that provision of infrastructure is undoubtedly necessary in order to achieve quality education, hence the efforts by government to open up infrastructure in the areas of education.

He said this move will progressively end the situation whereby children would have to hassle for desks to sit on in classrooms in the district.
