The Assin South District Assembly has intensified efforts to ensure the completion of various on-going school projects as soon as possible to enhance teaching and learning in the in the district.

The move is to help put contractors on their toes to complete their projects especially as the country is fast approaching its much anticipated general elections come December 2012. 

However most Basic, Junior and Senior High Schools in the area have for the past few years seen massive infrastructural boost as the assembly headed by Mrs. Sabina Appiah Kubi has made improvement in the standard of education one of its priorities.

Schools including Assin Edubiase Basic, Assin Msomaso Primary, Nyakomase Ahenkro Primary, Assin Amanbeti Primary have all benefited tremendously from 3 blocks each.

Mr. Samuel Asiedu, a Public Relations Officer for the assembly made this known when speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com to disclose some of the projects executed by the assembly with regards to promoting education in the area.

He said the construction of 6 unit classroom blocks each for Nyankose and Assin Darmang Senior High Schools had been completed and were aimed at eliminating schools under trees.
