“I can boldly confirm to you that schools under tress will soon be a thing of the past in the Assin South District as befitting emergency classroom blocks amongst other educational facilities have been constructed to rescue the development".

These were few words uttered by Mr. Samuel Asiedu a Public Relation Officer for the Assin South District Assembly when speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com to reveal some projects executed  government in recent times.

According to him, the assembly headed by Mrs. Sabina Appiah Kubi has done tremendously well in respect to infrastructural development especially in the educational sector.

He revealed that Nyankumase Ahenkro Senior High School (SHS) which was spotted studying under trees have been provided with a 6 unit classroom block, adding that the school is also noted to benefit from a 2 storey boys dormitory block.

Mr. Asiedu further added that Adakwaman SHS have had a fair share of the implementation as it has also been provided with an administration block and a similar 6 unit classroom block and an administration block to ensure the same purpose of erasing schools under trees.

He said the structures were either financed through Ghana Education Trust fund (GETfund) and District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) respectively.
