Chief Executive for Assin South District in the Central Region, Mrs. Sabina Appiah Kubi has lauded government’s effort to improve education especially in most deprived areas.

She said, taken her district for example most schools  under trees have in less than 3 years been eliminated by providing them with benefitting classroom blocks which has given education an ineffable facelift in the area.

The DCE however noted that students in the Assin Homaho Primary School who have been studying under trees since the school’s establishment have now been provided with a new 6-unit classroom block, adding that the school is currently serving a student population of about 600. 

According to her other interventions such as the school feeding programme, capitation grant, free uniforms and exercise books has also been strengthened under the Ata Mills-led government.

Mrs. Appiah Kubi said about 26 communities were currently benefiting from the School feeding programme which she described as unprecedented in the history of the district.

She stress that students’ population for Appiah-krom Primary school has doubled from 300 to about 500 in few months after the school’s migration onto the school feeding programme.

Mrs. Sabina Appiah Kubi who was speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com finally noted that the first term of President Mills had been nothing but success and express hopes that Ghanaians will give him another term to continue his good works.
