The Gomoa West District Assembly has initiated moves to award new development projects on contract for execution this year.

The projects which have already been advertised covers various sectors including education, security, sanitation, and administration. They will all be financed by the assembly through the District Development Facility (DDF).

List of projects include:   
*Construction of police station at Dago

*Construction of 4-unit teachers’ quarters at Apam

*Construction of 3-unit teachers’ quarters at Abamkrom

*Construction of 10-seater toilet facility at Mankessim

*Extension of electricity to Ayensuano

*Construction of 10-seater toilet facility at Akwakrom

*Procurement of 2 pick-ups for the health directorate and assembly.

Chief Executive for the district, Theophilus Aidoo Mensah called on the assemblymen at the other officials at the beneficiary communities to take interest in the projects and visit the project sites regularly to ensure quality work is delivered for value for money.

Meanwhile, the house has accepted to construct aqua privy toilets in place of the proposed Envrilo-loo toilets. This was after the DCE explained that the price of an essential component of the envrilo-loo toilets was very high that it will adversely affect their budget.
