ASUOGYAMAN:Street naming exercise on course-DCE
The Asuogyaman District Assembly in the Eastern Region is on schedule to honouring the president’s directive to name all streets and number all houses in its jurisdiction, District Chief Executive, Thomas Ampem Nyarko has stated.

The Asuogyaman District Assembly in the Eastern Region is on schedule to honouring the president’s directive to name all streets and number all houses in its jurisdiction, District Chief Executive, Thomas Ampem Nyarko has stated.
The DCE said the Town and Country Planning Department of the assembly is always on the ground putting in place the necessary measures to ensure smooth implementation of the exercise. Already, the department has mapped out various areas for the exercise.
The Implementation Committee has also augmented efforts of the Town and Country Planning Department by having a number of consultative meetings with various stakeholders’ especially traditional authorities who have all suggested names to be assigned the various streets in the district. Additionally, Individuals have also been asked to write to the assembly for consideration.
Mr. Nyarko said in order to expedite implementation of the exercise, the services of the National Service Personnel in the district would be used. As such he has directed the officer in charge to identify some of the service personnel for the work.
He lauded the cooperation of the chiefs and people in the district for how far they have progressed with preliminary works.
