The Director of Education for Kassena-Nakana East Municipality, Mr. Stanislaus Alu Kadinddi has prayed government to empower teachers with systems that would enable them achieve excellence.

He said this was relevant in ensuring that the needs of the future generations continue to be met by teachers.

Speaking in an address to mark this year’s World Teachers’ Day in the region over the weekend, Mr Stanislaus Kadinddi reiterated that education was becoming increasingly important to the economic advancement and success in both developed and developing countries around the world.

Thus he asserted that there was the need to promote international standards for the teaching profession.

The theme for this year’s celebration was ‘A call for teacher; teacher takes the lead for quality education’.
