The Ghana Education Service (GES) has embarked on distribution of 828 dual desks to certain basic schools captured under the Northern Flood School Projects in the Kassena Nankana East municipality.
Besides, some Kindergarten schools have also been considered under the move with GES procuring a total of 82 Kg dual desks to the kids in such schools in the bid to promote quality education in the whole area.
It is expected that the move will relatively contribute to making teaching and learning activities easy and convenient so it could offer the enabling environment for pupils to improve on their academic laurels in the various schools.
Beneficiary communities included Gaani, Tampola, Akurugu Daboo, Abempengu, Yua-Tarabisi and Yua-Gingrigu primary schools, as well as Wolingo and Vunania KGs amongst others.
This support by GES forms part of government’s measures through implementation of the “Better Ghana” agenda to boost infrastructure in schools, especially those situated in the remote areas.
