Community members at Chaaba in the Kassena Nankana East district are reportedly sentimental about some latest borehole facility which has been constructed for them in the area.

Some of them have raised serious questions on the siting of the facility noting that it wasn’t centralized or placed at a vantage area to ease accessibility for all, as a result of this the facility has practically been abandoned and never received the patronage it deserved because of these ill-feelings surrounding it.

Assembly member for the area, David Anafo in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com said the whole move was misguided as none of the opinion leaders and other important persons were consulted in the siting of the project in the community.

Nevertheless the Assemblyman has pleaded with the inhabitants to disabuse their mentality and attitude and consider the facility as a property for the whole community.

Meanwhile, the water facility which is currently broken down needs urgent attention to fix it and restore water for community members, for that matter he called on the assembly to come to the aid of the community and repair the borehole for inhabitants.
