BAWKU W: 12 seater WC toilet almost completed for Galaka
In order to discourage open defecation and boost general sanitation in the area, the Bawku West district assembly is constructing a 12 seater WC toilet for inhabitants of the Galaka electoral area in the Bawku West district.

In order to discourage open defecation and boost general sanitation in the area, the Bawku West district assembly is constructing a 12 seater WC toilet for inhabitants of the Galaka electoral area in the Bawku West district.
Assembly member for the area, Awini Asana Zakari says the project is progressing steadily and hopes that works would be completed by the end of September this year.
Interacting with Ghanadistricts.com, the assembly member indicated that when the facility is finally completed it will move to enhance the lifestyle of the locals, and foster good sanitation amongst the people.
He added that the difficulty in accessing toilet facility which somewhat affected the standard of living will be resolved considerably.
He claimed inhabitants in the area, are getting infrastructural benefits as lately the area through the benevolence of World Vision International, an NGO in collaboration with the assembly obtained a Community Based Health Planning and Services(CHPS) centre .
He revealed that consultations were still ongoing to include other ancillary facilities to the already completed CHPS facility set in Galaka to open up the centre to improve primary healthcare services in the area.
