BAWKU W: 17 communities to obtain boreholes

The Bawku West District Assembly has managed to push all required efforts for the commencement of works on the 17 emergency boreholes scheduled for some selected communities of the district.

The Bawku West District Assembly has managed to push all required efforts for the commencement of works on the 17 emergency boreholes scheduled for some selected communities of the district.

The move is captured under the Government of Ghana (GOG) programme to ensure adequate water facilities that will provide safe drinking water for local communities to de-emphasize rural folks from accessing unpurified water bodies for domestic usage.

The District Chief Executive for the area, Moro Adam Anabah, highlighting on the project in the area, said contractors are currently on site discharging works to enable the project to be completed early on schedule for beneficiary communities.

Some of the communities include, Tinni-Natinga, Widnaba, Tarikom, Peeri, Teogo 1&2, and Dalaka amongst others.

Mr. Moro Anabah reckoning water as the most essential element to life said the Assembly will not leave any stone unturned to secure more potable water for residents in the area.
