The District Chief Executive for the Bawku West District Assembly, Moro Adam Anabah has revealed that works on the Zebilla-Zabre road, which links Ghana and Burkina Faso will soon be accomplished to ease transportation.

In an interview with Ghanadistricts.com concerning the road under construction, the DCE pointed out that he was impressed with works generally on the project, adding that if contractors keep the current pace of works the road will certainly be ready for use shortly.

He disclosed that contractors were at an advance stage on the project, thus the road is now receiving some finishing touches with contractors pouring bitumen onto the stretch.

He claimed the first half of this road project will therefore be due in November, but was quick to add that there were some few challenges with the other half of the stretch which he stated might inhibit the pace of work as works progresses.

According to him, some portions on the road are dominantly clayey and may require a lot of excavating works to smoothen and ease the discharge of work.
