The long awaited opportunity to secure a Junior High School (JHS) for the Kaare-Natinga basic school in the Bawku West district will soon be realized as an additional block has been built for the school to open up classrooms meant for teaching and learning activities.

A new 6 unit classroom block with ancillary facility has been put up and commissioned for school children of this deprived school in the district.

Hitherto, school children were compelled to manage a poor 3 unit classroom block which did not commensurate the school’s population, until the Assembly with support from the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETfund) resolved to provide the new structure for them to ease the situation at hand.

In an interaction with Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive for the Bawku West District Assembly, Moro Adam Anabah pointed out that the school will soon acquire a JHS which will curtail the situation whereby those entering JHS will have to enroll in nearby schools in the surrounding environs.

For a long period, Sapeliga JHS has been the regular school that normally open chance to absorb school children from this deprived school upon completing their primary school level.

However the DCE has assured that a new arrangement is in place to get a JHS for the school, as serious plans are being implemented to use the old 3 unit block to facilitate lessons for those who are now due to enter the JHS.

The JHS on-board will begin running from September this year.
