BUILSA:Assemblyman pleads for more boreholes

Inhabitants in the Uwasi electoral area are seriously struggling to access potable water as the area is lacking adequate water facilities to serve its people.

Inhabitants in the Uwasi electoral area are seriously struggling to access potable water as the area is lacking adequate water facilities to serve its people.

On account of this problem there is always undue pressure on the limited number of boreholes available in the whole area which consequently creates a heavy toll on the living conditions and wellbeing of the inhabitants of the area.

Mr Avamuti Bawa, Assembly member for the area, interacting with Ghanadistricts.com disclosed that at the moment there were only three existing boreholes which in essence does not commensurate the population of the area.

He said the people normally trek long distances before they can access boreholes because they are sparsely located at some points.
 
He however pleaded with government and the assembly to double up efforts and plans to assist the area secure more boreholes to improve the lives of people.
