Some three public toilet facilities in Damongo have been earmarked to receive renovation as a measure to improve the sanitation conditions of inhabitants of the community and the surrounding areas.

The Assembly has already gone far with this plan and currently rolling up the project amidst other crucial social projects which are being powered under the District Development Facility (DDF).

The West Gonja District Assembly divulging the information to Ghanadistricts.com stressed that works on the project is moving on steadily in the project sites.

It said this was to afford residents get easy access to sanitary facilities without stress and also discourage the infamous act of defecating in open spaces by some local people.

This effort is also in line with commitment to reach the targets on Millennium Development Goals(MDG) for sanitation by 2015.
