The Chief Executive for the West Gonja District Assembly, Mr Adam Mutawakilu has disclosed the completion of a newly constructed dam facility at Grupe a community within the district.

According to him, the dam project powered by the Assembly through the District Development Facility (DDF) is fully accomplished and is currently in use by community members.

This came to light in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com by the DCE, whiles discussing projects undertaken in the area to boost the lives of residents.

He reiterated that the dam will obviously create the opportunity to enhance dry season gardening, as farmers who are engaged in such activities will get reliable source of water to aid them on their farms.

He claimed the dam could also be accessed for other domestic activities by inhabitants where necessary to ease the pressure on the available boreholes in the surrounding environs.

The project forms part of efforts through the implementation of the “Better Ghana” agenda to secure quality projects that are capable of boosting the living conditions of residents.
