W GONJA:MP pledges support to end water problem at Damongo-Laribanga
The Member of Parliament for Damongo in the Northern region, Mr Adam Mutawakilu has revealed that serious consultations are underway with the Ghana Water Company Limited and the Ministry of Water Resources Works and Housing to provide a lasting solution to the water problem at Damongo-Laribanga.

The Member of Parliament for Damongo in the Northern region, Mr Adam Mutawakilu has revealed that serious consultations are underway with the Ghana Water Company Limited and the Ministry of Water Resources Works and Housing to provide a lasting solution to the water problem at Damongo-Laribanga.
He claimed he was pushing the move fervently as he has begun lobbying with the GWCL and the Ministry “to do due diligence by providing funding and technical support to assist extend pipe borne water to the area”.
Mr. Mutawakilu made this known in a maiden telephone interview with Ghanadistricts.com as the new MP for Damongo.
He said although there were some mechanized boreholes already in the system to lessen the plight of residents of the area with regards to access to potable water, there was also an urgent need to connect the area especially,Damongo-Laribanga with pipe borne water to suit the development of the whole area.
He assured that whiles making an interface with the major stakeholders to implement the project, he would also support it with a part of his MPs Common Fund so the project can see the light of the day.
