Mrs Theresa Adomako Tawiah, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima-Mponua, has been commended by 300 communities in her district for the successful completion of 102 major projects across the district within three and half years in office.

The communities include Mpasatia, Nyinahin, Adiembra, Ahyiresu, Nsuontem, Nkrumah Nkwanta and Nkrumah.

The rest are Otaakrom, Tanodumase, Domiabra, Nagole, Akomfre Adumasa, Wansamire, Okyerekrom, Kuffour Camp, Kwabena Kwa and Abobonwin.  

This was made known at a meeting held by beneficiary communities at Nyinahin, the capital, to express appreciation to Mrs Adomako Tawiah for the tremendous work done.

Some of the completed projects are markets, classroom blocks with KVIP toilets, office and stores, CHPS compounds, installation of electricity generating plants, construction of water closet toilets with overhead water tanks, and installation of street lights in selected communities.

Alhaji Hamidu, spokesperson for the communities, said in addition, 20 feeder roads had been reshaped under the DCE’s administration.

These include Tanodumase-Junction to Nsuontem, Tanodumase–Gyereso–Anansu Feeder Road, Gyereso–Aboabo–Bibiani roads, Oforiwa Junction–Bayerebon Number Five, and Nyamenehene Junction to Nyameyehene stretch of roads.

He encouraged the DCE to continue with the outstanding performance in providing social amenities to make life comfortable for inhabitants of rural communities.

Alhaji Hamidu expressed the hope that on-going projects, which have reached 85 per cent completion, would also be completed on record time.
