ATWIMA MPONUA : Assembly prioritizes educ. Infrastracture
Government’s policy to extend basic education to various parts of the country especially underprivileged areas is far becoming a reality as the Atwima Mponua District Assembly has completed an ultra modern 6 –unit school classroom block with ancillary facilities in the Kotokuom Electoral Area.

Government’s policy to extend basic education to various parts of the country especially underprivileged areas is far becoming a reality as the Atwima Mponua District Assembly has completed an ultra modern 6 –unit school classroom block with ancillary facilities in the Kotokuom Electoral Area.
The facility is expected to boost the quality of teaching and learning and also help elevate the standard of education in the community.
Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com the District Chief Executive for the area Theresa Adomako Tawiah disclosed that the project was as a result of efforts by her outfit to relocate the students from an old temporary structure to a more modern and permanent place. She noted that the multipurpose classroom block has been fully completed and currently in use.
According to the DCE, the beneficiary school, Islamic L/A Primary, has for long suffered from the terrible situation of at the mercy of the weather adding that the situation has affected the general performance of the pupils in the school.
Hon. Tawiah described the new building as a blessing onto the community and was very confident that the current infrastructure will help increase the standard of education in the community as well as the District in general.
She further stressed that the Assembly under her leadership will put in much effort to improve the standard of education in efforts to achieving the ruling NDC’s Better Ghana Agenda.
