The Atwima Mponua District Assembly has launched a campaign against truancy within the various schools in the area.
The educational campaign dubbed “truancy free” is the assembly’s current move to improve education and the quality of teaching and learning in the district.
Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com the DCE for the area Theresa Adomako Tawiah said the assembly under her leadership has enacted several policies that have greatly improved on the quality of education in the area. She said the district is currently ranked fourth in the country in terms of performance in the BECE examination by the Ghana education service.
Adomako Tawiah hinted that the assembly has currently discovered waterfalls at Nyankomasu a community within the district and is looking for investors to collaborate with in developing the facility.
