A new office accommodation has been provided for the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) personnel at Nyinahin in the Atwima-Mponua District in the Ashanti Region.

The facility estimated at GHs104, 074.71 is aimed at empowering the team to enable them improve on the services they render as public servants to the Ghanaians living in the district.

Handing over the keys of the office to the authorities in charge, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mrs Theresa Adomako Tawiah reiterated the importance of the work of the GNFS personnel in the area.

She also took the opportunity to hand over the keys of a brand new fire tender  to the GNFS to enhance their swift response to emergency issues within and around the area and urged them to put up their best.

For his part, the District Fire Officer, Samuel Asare, cautioned the people to desist from phoney calls to the station.
