A two-storey office complete for the Municipal Directorate of the Ghana Education Service in the East Akim Municipal Assembly has been completed.

Municipal Chief Executive in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com acknowledged the infrastructure challenges some decentralized departments are faced with but assured of the assembly’s commitment to addressing them. He indicated that the structure was one of only five allocations across the country and the assembly was fortunate to be a beneficiary.

The MCE said the education directorate needed this intervention to be able to function effectively and is delighted that they have been able to honour that obligation to them.

In a related development, the MCE disclosed that basic schools in the municipality were presented with about 1500 furniture to make up for the inadequacies in the schools. In addition, kindergartens in the municipality also received 1,250 hexagonal desks.
