The DCE for Sekyere East in the Ashanti Region Solomon Adjei Mensah has denied allegations that he supervised the sale of subsidized fertilizers in the open market instead of distributing to farmers.
According to him the Constituency chairman of the ruling NDC in the district took delivery of the fertilizers and defied his (DCE) orders to take them to his residence for the appropriate storage and sale to farmers. He noted that nothing on the fertilizers have been reported to him since the delivery until the allegations started flying in the media.
He noted that though he does not have any issue against the party chairman, he has called for BNI investigations into the matter to enable him clear his name.
