Five additional schools within the Sekyere East District in the Ashanti
Region are expected to benefit from the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) to boost the quality of education in the area.

These are part of policies and implementations to ensure that all schools in the dsitrict are covered by the program.

In an interview with Ghanadistrict.com the District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Solomon Adjei Mensah indicated that some few schools had already being added onto the programme, adding that the Effiduase Primary /Junior High School (JHS) was the recent school to benefit from the programme.

According to the DCE, about 538 pupils in the above mentioned school are currently benefiting from the feeding programme. He stressed that, the programme had balloon the number of students in the school to about double of what was recorded before the programme was initiated.

He was very hopeful that enrollment will as well increase when the
programme is extended to the selected schools to improve the standard of education.

Hon Mensah however cleared the air on claims that Fulani herdsmen are stretching their boundaries to graze their cattle. He noted that his outfit had laid down adequate measures to deny their entry into the area.

He later called on residents of the area to rally behind the ruling party
to help achieve the Better Ghana Agenda.
