SEKYERE EAST : Assembly moves to support security agencies

As part of measures to promote security in the Sekyere East District of the Ashanti Region the assembly has embarked on a massive rehabilitation works on the District Police Station in order to place the Police personnel in a better condition to fight crime.

As part of measures to promote security in the Sekyere East District of the Ashanti Region the assembly has embarked on a massive rehabilitation works on the District Police Station in order to place the Police personnel in a better condition to fight crime.

The District Chief Executive for the area Solomon Adjei Mensah who disclosed this to Ghanadistricts.com observed that the security situation in the district has improved tremendously over the last three years as crime in the area is at an all time low.

Again he noted that the assembly has purchased a new fire hydrant for the district Fire Service as well as built an ultra modern garage for their official vehicles. The move is expected to promote adequate security in all forms in the district.

On education the assembly has constructed 9 new classroom blocks to replace old ones as part of the nationwide school under trees elimination campaign by the president.

According to the DCE the assembly carefully ensured that needy communities in the district benefited from the facility. Some of the beneficiary communities include Asokore, Bomso, Otukrodua, Kwankwanua, and Okaikrom among others.

He added that though the new schools are yet to be commissioned they have brought a lot of excitement to the district.
