Reports reaching  Ghanadistricts indicate that about five armed robbers have attacked an Enchi bound Yutong bus on the Kumasi, Takoradi trunk road killing a female passenger aged 30 and injuring others.

Reports reaching Ghanadistricts indicate that about five armed robbers have attacked an Enchi bound Yutong bus on the Kumasi, Takoradi trunk road killing a female passenger aged 30 and injuring others.

The bus with registration number GT 4658-11was travelling to Enchi in the western region when it came under attack from the robbers at about 5: 30 am early this morning.

The robbers reportedly fired three times into the bus, after robbing passengers of cash and personal belongings at Wassa Dunkwa.

The driver of the bus Christian Blay said at least four other vehicles were also robbed, while passengers on his bus had to be rushed to the Asankraguaa Government Hospital for treatment as the gunshot wounds they sustained left them critical state.

Christian Blay said the robbers ordered him to drive the bus from the scene soon after the incident which he complied with, but drove to the Asankraguaa Police station to report afterwards.

An officer on duty at the Asankraguaa Police Station confirmed the incident to Asempa FM an Accra based radio station but refused to comment further.
