Recreational facilities are vital components for ensuring strong and healthy human resource that can deliver the expected outputs for development. They provide avenues for people to while away their boredom and refreshed for higher out puts.
It for this fact, that the Wassa Amenfi West District in the Western Region is urging private investors to partner the district to develop its tourist potentials to boost its economy.
Not only is tourism gradually becoming a force in Ghana’s economy, contributing significantly to Gross Domestic Product (GDP), but an important aspect in the life of every human society. The district therefore cannot afford to lag behind in this new found opportunity.
The District, like many others in the country, is endowed with a lot of natural tourism potentials including large expanse of virgin tropical evergreen forests, with a great diversity of flora and fauna suitable for parks. To add beauty to these forests are several rivers and steams that run through them.
Other potentials are the Brose Natural Lake at Brose near Nkonya and features of a human resemblance granite near Wassa Dunkwa.
This in effect also provide a solid ground for investment in the hospitality industry for the construction of hotels, guest houses, restaurant, drinking spots among others which have direct relations to tourism.
Though some of these facilities are available, there is still room for improvement of which investors can take advantage of.
The assembly is assuring investors of its full co-operation in their efforts to do business in the district.
