Honourable Michael Kobla Adzaho, the District Chief Executive for Adaklu-Anyigbe District has expressed surprise at the turn-out and success of the first ever Volta Investment Fair.

"Many people were not sure the fair would be successful and were relunctant to participate, but when the fair got underway, they expressed shock and said they would not be left out the next time round", he added.

He said following the success of this fair, authorities have decided to make it an annual fair in order to achieve their development agenda.

Mr. Adzaho said, his main focus for the Adaklu-Anyigbe District is the tourism sector to promote the kente industry which employ a large number of the youth and to develop the Adaklu Mountain and other tourist sites in the district to raise money for development.

He said they were able to have talks with NGOs and other Donor agencies about their tourist potentials and they have promised to help the assembly those developments.

He added that not only did they the fair afford them the opportunity to discuss business potentials but more importanly brought the region togethere to shareideas on development and anchore the spirit of unity as one people with a common goal.

He was however not happy about the late information to district assemblies and otherpotential participants and investors who could not participate because they could not have enough time to prepare.

He therefore appealed to autorities to do well to give early information towards the fair next year to allow for ample time for preparation.
