The initiative sought to raise awareness about common health conditions, encourage regular health check-ups, and promote early detection and treatment of diseases within the community.
Residents who participated in the exercise benefited from a range of free health services, including blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar testing, as well as HIV screening and counselling.
The programme, which formed part of the HIV Sensitization and Screening initiative, was made possible through the dedication of health professionals and support from key stakeholders committed to improving public health outcomes in the municipality.
Organizers noted that preventive healthcare and early diagnosis remain critical in reducing the burden of disease and improving the overall well-being of residents.
The Ga North Health Directorate and the Municipal Assembly reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening community health interventions through sustained awareness creation, regular screening programmes, and collaborative efforts aimed at building a healthier and more resilient population.
The successful exercise underscores the importance of partnerships in advancing public health and promoting a culture of prevention, awareness, and early detection within communities.
