WENCHI: Wenchi and Dormaa DCEs sworn into office
Two new Chief Executives for Wenchi Municipal and Dormaa-West District Assemblies, Alhaji Hakibu Dauda and I. K. Kyeremeh have been sworn into office.

Two new Chief Executives for Wenchi Municipal and Dormaa-West District Assemblies, Alhaji Hakibu Dauda and I. K. Kyeremeh have been sworn into office.
They both took the oaths of secrecy, office and allegiance concurrently. The ceremony which was well attended by staff of the sister district assemblies and party hierarchy of the ruling government was held at the Regional ministers’ residency in Sunyani.
Delivering a speech after the swearing-in, the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. Paul Evans Aidoo, congratulated the DCEs on their appointment. He called on them to work assiduously to justify the Presidents course for involving them in his government.
Mr. Aidoo said his outfit was planning to organise a service training workshop for the MMDCEs in the region.
He advised them to study the decentralisation concept of the local government system very well to enhance their work.
He encouraged Ghanaians to develop a sense of patriotism so that national interest would reign over personal interest.
To the Chief Executives, he disclosed to them that his unit had been writing confidential reports about their activities and their continuous stay in office was in their own hands.
On their own behalf, the DCE for Dormaa West thanked his Excellency, the President for the confidence repose in them and said they would work had to justify their appointment.
He called on all to support them rather than making unfounded criticism so that they will discharge their duties to the best of their ability.
