The Tepa Senior High School has undergone tremendous transformation in the last three years as the school has benefited from various interventions for growth.
The school has even received massive support from the Ahafo Ano North District Assembly including an 18-unit two-storey classroom block for it at a contract sum of GH¢849,627 to add to the existing infrastructure.
The Assembly has also provided a 6-unit classroom block, with an office, for the school at GH¢222,133 under the District Development Fund (DDF).
The Headmaster of the school, Mr. Peter Anarfi Mensah however has complained of lack of adequate infrastructure befitting the school,in its 50th Anniversary celebrations.
He indicated that the school had no Assembly and Dining halls, and that one borehole serves as the only source of drinking water for the huge population of the school.
With a student population of 2,445, Headmaster Anarfi Mensah said it would be better if an additional borehole was provided to serve their needs.
He bemoaned the poor drainage system and nature of streets on campus, saying improvement on the road network in the school would add value to the existing infrastructure.
The Headmaster has therefore appealed to the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Ministry of Education, and the Ghana Education Service, as well as the District Assembly to come to its aid in the provision of basic needs for the school.
