The Ahafo-Ano North District Assembly has endorsed the nomination of Mr David Addai-Amankwah as District Chief Executive (DCE).

Forty-five out of the 54 members of the Assembly, representing 83 per cent, said “yes” with nine dissenting in an election supervised by the Ashanti Regional Electoral Officer, Mr Samuel Tetteh.

Mr Addai-Amankwah had served his first full term and is going for a second term.

Nana Adusei Atwenewaa Ampem II, Omanhene of Tepa, and Nana Kwame Ntim II, Omanhene of Manfo, were among those present to witness the election.

The DCE thanked the Assembly for the trust and appealed for continued co-operation and understanding of the members to bring progress to the area.
