Mr. Moses Bavia on Thursday, September 5, 2013 named the new  Sissala East DCE in a fresh list compiled by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD)to support decentralization in the NDC government.

He was among five others who were considered for the position that was released by President Mahama for the four year mandate in government.

Mr. Bavia goes to succeed Hon. Sulemana Alijata Gbentie, the new Member of Parliament for the area.

The nominations were carried out in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Government Act 1993, Act 462.
 
The list was featured as follows:
 1. Lawra- Pascal Dery
2. Daffiama Bussie Issa- Fidelis Zumakpeh
3. Sissala East- Moses Bavia
4. Kaleo/ Nadowli- John Bosco Bomansan
5. Bole- James Jaaga
6. Berekum- Opoku Boakye Yiadom
