SISSALA E:WFP/Assembly embarks on “food for training†programme
The World Food Programme (WFP) in conjunction with the Sissala East District(SEDA) is undertaking a move to sustain the various economic modules like the National Youth Employment Programme(NYEP) now rebranded as Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency(GYEEDA) and the Local Entreprises and Skills Development Programme(LESDEP).

The World Food Programme (WFP) in conjunction with the Sissala East District(SEDA) is undertaking a move to sustain the various economic modules like the National Youth Employment Programme(NYEP) now rebranded as Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency(GYEEDA) and the Local Entreprises and Skills Development Programme(LESDEP).
The project which is code-named ‘Food for training’ will give the opportunity for all individuals who are receiving training under the key government economic modules ongoing in the district to be fed daily in order to support them and ease their economic burden.
The move is to practically assist them gain the enabling environment to be able to undergo their training without any form of difficulties to wholly push the economic interventions currently being implemented in the area.
With the commitment of the Assembly to minimize unemployment and poverty in the area, it is also making efforts to assist in facilitating more credit facilities for them so they could consolidate their ventures after their skills training.
The effort of the Assembly is to ostensibly push economic growth in the area to guarantee and ensure sustainable development of the district.
