BOLE: Resource centre project for PWD’s delays in completion-Assemblyman
A resource centre project meant to be established for Persons with Disability in Bole in the Northern region has been practically abandoned, as contractors assigned to discharge works on the facility have taken a long leave on the implementation of the project.

A resource centre project meant to be established for Persons with Disability in Bole in the Northern region has been practically abandoned, as contractors assigned to discharge works on the facility have taken a long leave on the implementation of the project.
Assembly member for the Bole electoral area,Salifu Adams in an interaction with ghanadistricts.com has maintained that up till now there are no definite responds to when contractors would be resuming works on the project.
He said the completion of this facility was long overdue taking into consideration the number of years spent on it. The project which took off the year 2006 is still under construction, without any signals of when it would be completed for these individuals, he noted.
Meanwhile, it is imperative for such persons to access the centre in order to assist boost their wellbeing in the area, he stated.
He therefore pleaded with the assembly to reconsider this project and commit funds for the speedy completion of the project so it could benefit them and eventually improve their social lives in the area.
The establishment of resource centre for the disabled specifically in the MMDA’s has come as an alternative action programme espoused by government to facilitate the quality lives of persons with disability, through skill training and other relevant activities.
