The Chiefs and people of Bamboi in the Northern region have expressed the faith that the election of President John Dramani Mahama will have a far reaching advantage to stitch together the cultural diversity and differences of Bamboi and Bole, whose significance have lately been illuminated on the political map because of the electoral success of the President.
In a Press Statement delivered to congratulate him on his success and subsequent investiture as the newly elected President and signed by Nana Kwaku Dapaah II, Paramount Chief of the Bamboi traditional area on behalf of the Chiefs and people of the Bamboi Traditional Area (North-Mo traditional council), it however corroborated the widely acclaimed significance of unity in the leadership of President Mahama, adding that “this country can count on him in this endeavour for national unity and Development”.
The statement also pointed out that the challenge to his leadership will partly emanate from how well he would redress poverty in the three regions up-north, because of the fact that he had relatively seen, lived and felt poverty as a son of the area.
They however implored Ghanaians irrespective of their ethnic diversity, religious or political background to earnestly rally behind the President and offer him the co-operation and understanding to move the nation forward.
