At least four existing dug-outs have been rehabilitated in the Bole District as a way of ensuring an improvement in the water situation of the district.

They include Seripe, Mandari, Choribang, and Mankuma dams which needed various degrees of maintenance works to guarantee enhanced flow of water.

Interacting with Ghanadistricts.com, the DCE for the area, Alhaji Seidu Abudu Samson disclosed that for now rehabilitation works are complete on the various dam sites but indicated that the Assembly is undertaking some tree planting exercise around the banks to boost water conservation in the dam.

The tree planting exercise which is now about 85-90% complete mainly involves Mango and Teak.

The implementation of this project in the various dam sites which relatively is also to ensure reliable water for irrigation activities was captured under the Ghana Social Opportunity Projects (GSOP).
