Mr. Kwabena Nkrumah has been appointed by President John Dramani Mahama to head the Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Government Act 1993, Act 462.

The New nominee however, will require an approval of not less than two-thirds majority of members of the Assembly for confirmation.

Mr. Nkrumah was part of the thirty more MMDCE’s who were appointed this week by President John Mahama to head various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies after approval.

Meanwhile members of the assembly are also expected to converge as soon as possible to exercise their franchise on whether or not to consider their newly appointed MCE.
