Government through the Karaga District Assembly is working seriously to get a minimum of 5 additional communities connected to the national grid.

This is intended to improve the wellbeing of residents at large and also make sure that people living in the local areas have equal opportunities to social infrastructure and facilities like the urban and city dwellers.

This was made known in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com by the District Chief Executive for the area, Sulemana Hussein Issah.

According to him, the projects have already started in various earmarked areas, adding that the whole project is moving steadily in the district.

Beneficiary communities included Komoayili, Kuduli, Monkula, Kupali, and Kpasablo all suburbs of the district.

The project is however executed by the China International Water and Electricity Corporation (CWE) under the implementation of government’s Rural Electrification Programme (REP) which is ongoing in various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDA’s).
