Trade and commerce is given a significant boost in the Karaga district as the Assembly has managed to complete an additional 80 new market stalls facility for traders occupying the Karaga main market.

The project was undertaken by the Assembly to ensure that market women or traders conducting business in the facility are provided with enough stalls to promote buying and selling activities in the market.

Interacting with Ghanadistricts.com on the facility, the DCE for the area, Sulemana Hussein Issah noted that the new market stalls will obviously contribute to open up and enhance the status of the market so others could also get the chance to move into it to improve their lots in the area through trading.

He reiterated that the project was secured through the District Development Fund (DDF) and also forms part of ways to push and assist in enhancing the wellbeing of residents of the area.

Mr. Hussein Issah therefore disclosed that the facility has duly been handed over and is currently in use by traders of the market.
