School authorities at Yaruu primary school located in the Wa East district in the Upper West region has finally secured a long awaited kitchen facility requested by the school to assist it push efficiently the Ghana School Feeding Programme(GSFP).

The Assembly has recently taken over the facility following its completion to enable it undertake the necessary arrangements in handing over the fully accomplished project to authorities concerned, Mr. Ameen Salifu, DCE revealed. 

Speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the DCE underscored the importance of the facility provided for the school, saying it was critical for the school to acquire the kitchen block since it was improper for meals to be cooked or prepared in the open space, considering the attendant disadvantages of such thing. 

The project was powered through the District Development Fund (DDF) and also forms part of efforts to promote quality education in the district.
