The Deputy Central Regional Minister, Mr. Aquinas Tawiah Quansah has stated that in order to ensure a total development in the various communities, Assembly members  must place the forward march of the country over their personal interest.

He said unity among members should be the focus in achieving massive development in all communities.

Mr. Quansah said this when he presented about 47 brand new motorbikes to Assembly members at Breman Asikuman in the Asikuman/ Odoben/ Brakwa District to facilitate their work in the various electoral areas.

He said the motorbikes are expected to assist movement in their respective electoral areas to get first hand information on the challenges confronting them for immediate redress by the Assembly.

The Minister also cautioned beneficiaries of regular maintenance and avioid malhandling of the facility since it was a government property and solely aimed at assisting development in the area.

Mrs. Georgina Nkrumah Aboah, the District Chief Executive also in her address noted that the distribution of the motorbikes was a clear manifestation of government’s commitment to strengthen local governance and bring the  governance closer to the ordinary Ghanaian.

She said beneficiaries should be appreciative to government for the bikes and called for its proper maintenance.
