JIRAPA: Assembly releases GHs1, 000 to tertiary students
The Jirapa District Assembly has released an amount of GHs 1,000 to support Jirapa Tertiary Students Union to organize extra classes in various subjects with the view of complementing the efforts of the lecturers in a bid to impact knowledge.

The Jirapa District Assembly has released an amount of GHs 1,000 to support Jirapa Tertiary Students Union to organize extra classes in various subjects with the view of complementing the efforts of the lecturers in a bid to impact knowledge.
This was disclosed in a speech presented at the first ordinary meeting of the assembly at Jirapa by the District Chief Executive Bernard K. Puozuing on Friday.
The DCE noted that the donation was in line with the Assemblies tenets to help improve the standard of education in the area and however appealed to benevolent organizations to support the gesture.
On projects Mr. Puozuing noted that new feeder roads have been constructed while the old ones have been rehabilitated to facilitate the movement of goods and services.
He said 63 communities are also benefiting from rural electrification programme to promote cottage industry.
He called on stakeholders in the district to play their roles appropriately to sustain the peace in the communities before, during and after the 2012 general election.
