The Sefwi Akontombra District Assembly has donated various items worth GHC 2,339 for distribution to the Disabled Association in the district.

The items included cement, deep freezers and drums and pipes for Akpeteshie distillers and school uniforms for their children.

The assembly has also paid the school fees of a deaf and dumb student in the district who is attending the Sekondi School for the deaf and dumb.

The Deputy District Coordinator, Mr Boakye Donkor on behalf of the District Chief Executive, Hon. Peter Nkuah made the presentation.

He appealed to the disabled persons in the district to come together to fight for their common goals since the government had them at heart.
