The projects underscore the Assembly’s commitment to improving the quality of life for residents and include the drilling of ten mechanized boreholes to provide clean and reliable water to communities such as Awisa Camp, Atutumirem, Apaaso, Abidjan, Akortekrom, the Akim Swedru District Assembly area, Achiasehene-Akura, Smat, Kwasi-Ankomah and Kojo Kumi.

In the health sector, a new clinic with nurses’ quarters will be constructed at Akim Swedru Zongo to enhance healthcare delivery and provide accommodation for health personnel. Additionally, the renovation of the Ghana Health Service administration blocks will upgrade health infrastructure and improve service delivery across the municipality.

Phase Two of the lockable stores project located behind the funeral grounds in Akim Swedru will also commence, aimed at strengthening market infrastructure and creating more economic opportunities for traders.

All the projects are expected to be completed and commissioned within six months.
