KMA: Assembly to embark on massive clean-up
The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), incollaboration with the Manhyia Palace, is to embark on a city-wide clean-upexercise on Saturday, May 3.

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), incollaboration with the Manhyia Palace, is to embark on a city-wide clean-upexercise on Saturday, May 3.
This forms part of efforts to improve sanitation and environmentalcleanliness in the Garden City, during and after the on-going celebration ofthe 15th anniversary of the enthronement of Otumfuo Osei Tutu the second, asAsantehene.
A statement signed by Mr Godwin Ockumah Nyame, Public Relations Officerof the KMA, a copy of which was made available to the Ghana News Agency, saidthe exercise will start at 0600 hours and end at 1200 noon.
It said the general public, traditional authorities, religious bodies,social clubs, and market women, would participate, and that all shops would beclosed, with commercial activities halted, till the exercise was over.
The KMA would like to remind the general public on the need to keeptheir environment clean, and observe high standard of environmental hygiene, tohelp reduce diseases caused by filth, the statement added
